Perfect Stake Digger
Exactly what was needed to pre-drill holes for 2X2 stakes when installing 1X4 wooden border around house. Now crushed stones can be installed within the border and they will stay put. Pounding stakes in the ground is really stupid!

Flower Power
This works great for planting flower bulbs. I driled holes for two days planting about a thousand bulbs and this auger did the job.

Perfect transaction
This purchase was exactly what I need. My experience from Ace Hardware is always perfect.

Good for Small Plantings with the Right Drill
The Roto Digger made nice deep holes in "perfect" conditions: a nice loamy soil which was slightly damp. Dry soil just crumbled into the hole and hard soil couldn't be penetrated. A key component with this auger is the drill- I recommend a strong, corded drill, not a battery operated drill. My 18.2v Craftsman drill batteries drained very quickly when the load was significant, such as the case with hard, dry soil.

This device is great for smaller plantings and seems durable enough that I'll be able to use it for years to come.

bulb auger
The auger made holes 6 inches deep with ease into hard rocky ground. The 1.75 diameter was a bit small for some of the bulbs. A 2 inch auger would have been better. It was also dificult to tighten the auger into the drill chuck tightly enough to prevent slipping.
